Over the years I have heard stories from many folks about their home improvement projects. Even those that got along with their contractors and were pleased with the finished product still experienced unwelcome surprises and headaches. Some more dreadful than others. As a homeowner and a licensed contractor, I believe much of that anxiety can be avoided. Surprises need to be unexpected, so the proper knowledge in the beginning could have helped them immensely. It's not enough for a contractor to present a contract, give an estimated completion date, and just go to work. Homeowners need much more.

My purpose is to communicate my knowledge and experience, along with useful tools, so that your home improvement project may be an enjoyable experience.
